My Grandfathers story about the colourful Rooster, who was friends with a Dog, comes to my mind. They were traveling through the forest until it got late, so the Dog looked for a hole in a tree trunk and the Rooster flew up to sleep in the high branches of a close by tree. At sunrise the Rooster made these loud rooster-sounds and showed off his colours in the morning sun. A hungry Fox came by and wanted eat the Rooster…
i mean he wanted to talk to the Rooster. He told the him that the Rooster had a great voice just to be nice. He, himself would be an ok guitar player, starting a band and that he knows an Owl that has a recording studio, who could make them famous. The Fox being super nice to the Rooster, just asked him to come down from the tree, so they can exchange phone-numbers. But the Rooster, still showing of his pretty colours, being cocky and what not… said he is not interested, because he has a cool record deal and a youtube channel with a lot of followers. But his friend, sleeping down there in the tree trunk, might be interested.

The Fox was just a good guy, naturally he thought, they could become a great trio, so he went into the hole in the trunk. After a while you could hear this great music sounding through the forest. The Dog was a good a harmonica player looking for a partner anyways and the Fox turned out to be a super talented guitarist. They clicked right away. The Rooster never really got famous, but until today all the animals in the forest still talk about the great Fox & Dog duo. I think my grandfather wanted me to learn learn to play an instrument, because he never did.
